Four Implants and an Upper Bridge: A Case in Progress
A case from our Oakham practice, followed as it happens: a patient who has had four dental implants, before his remaining upper teeth are replaced with a bridge.
This patient is part-way through his treatment with Dr Piyush Patel, our principal dentist. He has had four implants, and the next stage is to take out the rest of his upper teeth and replace them with a bridge.
We are following his case as it goes. These photographs show where he started; we will add the interim work and the finished result here as his treatment goes on.

What happens next
The remaining upper teeth come out, and a bridge replaces them. We will show the interim stage and the final result on this page.
Would this work for you?
An implant is not the only way to fill a gap, and it is not right for everyone: any decay or gum disease needs treating first, and smoking and heavy drinking reduce how long implants last. At your consultation the dentist looks at your teeth, gums and bite and explains whether an implant, a bridge or dentures would suit you best.
