Facial Aesthetics in Oakham, Rutland with Dr Reem Khalifa

Botox, dermal fillers, non-surgical rhinoplasty and skin treatments at West Road Dental Practice in Oakham, carried out by Dr Reem Khalifa, a GDC-registered dentist with over a decade in facial aesthetics.

Facial aesthetics at West Road Dental is led by Dr Reem Khalifa. Reem qualified as a dentist in 2011 with clinical distinction and has spent much of her career since in cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics. She is registered with the General Dental Council (GDC 295068), which means the person holding the needle is a regulated clinician working in a regulated clinical setting, not a beauty salon.

Dr Reem Khalifa, dentist and facial aesthetics practitioner at West Road Dental Practice

Every treatment starts with a free consultation. Reem looks at your face as a whole rather than one feature, tells you honestly what would and would not make a difference, and gives you a plan and a price before anything is done. If the answer is that you do not need treatment, she will say so.

What we offer

  • Botox (anti-wrinkle injections) — forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet, softened rather than frozen
  • Dermal fillers — lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, temples, tear troughs, marionette and nasolabial lines
  • Non-surgical rhinoplasty — reshaping the nose with filler, no surgery and no time off
  • Profile balancing — nose, lips and chin treated together so the side view sits in proportion
  • Skin treatments — Profhilo, skin boosters and polynucleotides for skin quality, hydration and elasticity

Facial aesthetics open day

We are planning a facial aesthetics open day in November 2026, with a free consultation, a live demonstration and offers on treatments booked on the day. The date will be confirmed shortly. Why have facial aesthetics at a dental practice?

Dentists spend their whole career studying the face: the muscles, the nerves, the bones of the jaw and midface, and how they change with age. They give injections around the mouth and face every working day. That is why a growing share of facial aesthetics in the UK is carried out by dentists, and why the setting matters — a dental surgery is a clinical environment with the hygiene standards, the emergency equipment and the regulation that come with it.

Frequently asked questions

They do different jobs. Anti-wrinkle injections relax the small muscles that crease the skin when you frown, squint or raise your eyebrows, so the lines they cause soften. Dermal fillers add volume: they lift, shape or fill an area such as the lips, cheeks, chin or the bridge of the nose. Many people have both, and the consultation is where Reem works out which, if either, would help you.
Most people describe a scratch or a pinch. The needles are very fine, numbing cream can be used, and many fillers contain a local anaesthetic. Treatments usually take between fifteen and forty-five minutes.
It depends on the treatment and on you. Anti-wrinkle injections are usually repeated every few months; dermal fillers typically last between nine and twelve months, longer in the cheeks or jawline and shorter in the lips. Reem will tell you what to expect for the treatment you are considering.
Facial aesthetic treatments are for adults only; cosmetic injections cannot legally be given to anyone under 18 in England. They are also not carried out during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and some medical conditions and medicines rule them out. Reem takes a medical history at the consultation, and if treatment is not right for you she will say so.
Yes, and it is free. It is where you and Reem agree what you want to change, whether treatment can achieve it, what it costs, and the risks. Anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription-only medicine, so a consultation with a prescriber is a legal requirement before they can be given.
